With the right candidate, the Human Resources Advisor will be a hybrid role that blends HR generalist topics with payroll support. You will dive into legislative reporting, offer expert guidance to employees and supervisors in the Saskatoon Office, and provide support to the Senior Payroll Specialist. You will work alongside a dedicated HR team in both the Saskatoon Office and McClean Lake site to contribute to new projects, a high-performing department and a high level of client services. HR Responsibilities:
-Ensure compliance with federal reporting requirements
-Prepare data analysis for annual Corporate Social Responsibility submissions
-Create a welcoming environment for new employees by providing positive onboarding experiences
-Lead initiatives in visual management, including monthly reporting, trend analysis, and employee communications
-Work collaboratively to deliver excellent service and results in areas including Total Rewards, Performance Management, Succession Planning, Learning and Development, and HR Practices & Procedures
-Support continuous improvement
Payroll Responsibilities:
o Periodic administration of payroll for employees
o Calculate expatriate and secondee pay
o Prepare payroll related ledger postings, third party remittances and monthly reconciliations
Qualities and skills:
-Degree in business with Human Resources major (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
-3-5 years of HR generalist experience
-Proficient knowledge of employment legislation, acts and policies
-Experience in processing payroll or knowledge of payroll practices is an asset
-Skilled in Microsoft Excel
-CPHR designation is an asset
