Leading Thunderbird Lodge Youth Treatment Centre is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic individual who have a sincere interest in working with youth in the part -time position of:
This Full-time position is responsible for working directly with the youth as follows:
- Providing supervision to all youth during the scheduled shift.
- Providing assistance, guidance and support to meet youth needs and requests.
- Assisting with the completion of required documentation (shift logs, daily summaries, etc.)
- Assisting with meeting timelines for bedtime, morning breakfast, circle, class, etc.
- Attending staff meetings and accreditation process
- Providing supervision on scheduled activities and events
- Completing basic housekeeping chores; keeping pod office cleaned and organized, washing towels, and other basic housekeeping and kitchen chores to keep the building tidy and safe.
Shifts: Thursday to Monday 4:00pm - 12:00am
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Valid Driver's license is required
- A certificate in Addictions-Youth Care Worker would be an asset
- First Aid-CPR, ASIST, Non-violent Crisis Intervention would be an asset
- Applicants must also lead an addictions free lifestyle & promote their own wellness and an interest in promoting First Nations cultural based programming
- Should have excellent communication & interpersonal skills, proven reliability and the ability to work in a team. All positions will be subject to a Criminal & Vunerable Sectors check
- Knowledge of First Nations Culture and languages will be an asset
