Description

GFS Industrial is a fully diversified custom fabrication, conventional & CNC machine shop in Regina, Saskatchewan. We currently have an immediate opening for a design Engineer/Drafting/Estimations Manager.

Key Responsiblities:
Prepare engineering drawings(plans, profiles and details), scope of work and schedules for steel fabrication and machining

Generating detailed bid proposals including estimates, scope of work and manufacturing schedules

Prepare design psckages and blueprints

Accurately interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings & specifications and translating into cost, labour and material estimating

See a project from concept through to design  to implementation

Review past performance on previous comparable projects and incorporating the results into the project

Skill & Abilities:

Strong leadership qualifications

Good organizational skills along with the ability to meet deadlines

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

The ability to work well with others

Proficiency with computer assisted engineering and design software including: CAD/CAM and  Inventor

Mechanical and/or Welding Engineering Technology or equivalent would be an asset

At least 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment would be a great asset
