Education Skills and Training:
Possess a Bachelor of Education Degree from an institution recognized by the Ministry of Education
Possess a valid Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate and be registered with the Saskatchewan Professional Teachers Regulatory Board
A special education certification or working towards the certification with defined timelines would be an asset
Successful teaching experience with intensive needs students would be an asset
Demonstrated knowledge of Saskatchewan Core Curriculum and Ministry initiatives
Knowledge of the role of other Human Service Agencies in the support of learning
Knowledge of personal care for a student with intensive needs
Ability to lead student Inclusion & Intervention planning, implementation, monitoring and coaching with staff
Successful delivery of Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 interventions for Pre K to Grade 9 students
Proven ability to work with physical, emotional and behaviorally diverse children
Knowledge and network to create and manage plans for care for medically challenged students
Ability to lead, collaborate and mentor staff and parents in supports for students with intensive needs
Ability/willingness to learn to administer academic/educational assessments
Leadership in data driven decision making
Requirements:
Be a practicing Catholic active in his/her personal faith formation.
