The Athabasca Denesuline Education Authority (ADEA) is a First Nation Education Authority serving the three Denesuline First Nations communities in northern Saskatchewan; Black Lake First Nation, Hatchet Lake First Nation, and Fond Du Lac First Nation. The Authority serves a total student population of approximately 1,300+ students. The Authority is working toward improved educational outcomes by utilizing the latest technology, progressively piloting programs, and integrating Denesuline culture into the classroom and school curriculum.
The ADEA is seeking a competent, confident, motivated individual to fill the position of a Grade One Teacher at Father Megret Elementary School, located in Hatchet Lake, Saskatchewan. In this role, you will provide strong interpersonal skills, commitment to learning and teaching in project-based ways and provide an enthusiastic learning environment for children.
To qualify for this position, you will need to have a Bachelors Degree in Education or equivalent and must be eligible for or possess a valid Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate. Experience in teaching First Nations students at a remote community and have First Aid Certification would be an asset (we pay provide training upon hire). The successful candidate will be required to relocate to the community.
