The Emergency Receiving Home Supervisor oversees the operations of 3 emergency receiving homes, ensuring high-quality care and support for the children and youth served. The supervisor manages a team of approximately 8 staff members in each home, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure the well-being of the children and compliance with organizational and legal standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Manage the day-to-day operations of the three emergency receiving homes, ensuring a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for the children.
-Develop, implement, and maintain program policies and procedures in compliance with organizational, provincial, and federal regulations.
-Supervise and support the staff in each home, including training, scheduling, and evaluating performance.
-Provide leadership and mentorship to staff, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring adherence to best practices in care and support.
-Conduct regular team meetings and individual check-ins to ensure effective communication and address any concerns or issues.
-Oversee the care and support provided to the children, ensuring their emotional, physical, and developmental needs are met.
-Manage the program budget, monitoring expenditures and allocating resources efficiently.
-Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation as required by organizational and regulatory standards; ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services, or a related field.
-Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role within child care or similar programs.
-Strong organizational and time management skills.
-Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and licensing requirements.
-Current (within 6 months) criminal record check with vulnerable sector check.
-Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
