Employment Opportunity: Heavy-Duty Mechanic or Millwright Journeyman or 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice

Vermette Wood Preservers' site is located 18 km north of Prince Albert, SK. This position is responsible for ensuring all treating plant, production equipment, and facilities are maintained in good working order through inspection, monitoring, and established maintenance routines.

Qualifications:
- Heavy-Duty Mechanic or Millwright - minimum third year apprentice or Journeyman status or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Experience with hydraulic and other heavy-duty equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well within a team or independently
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Possess a class 5 drivers license
- Possessing a class 1A drivers license is considered an asset
- Strong work ethic and high self motivation

Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and provide preventative maintenance of wood processing equipment
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and provide preventative maintenance of mobile equipment including wheel and track loaders, heavy duty truck and trailers
- Repairs to hydraulic systems such as hoses, motors, and pumps
- General repairs and replacement of treatment facility equipment such as valves and pumps
- Perform basic welding on equipment, advanced welding experience is considered an asset
- Machining capability is considered an asset

Schedule:
8 AM - 5 PM Monday through Thursdays
8 AM - 3 PM Fridays
4 day work week is a possibility
