Description

. The City of Weyburn is offering an opportunity to work in the Leisure Department as a Facility Operator at the Spark Centre. As we continue to grow and prosper as a community, we seek a motivated and innovative employee to join our team!

Responsibilities:
    General cleaning duties of the arenas to make sure they are clean for the general public, this includes but is not limited to: changing garbages, cleaning change rooms and washrooms, washing walls and floors, sanitizing, etc.
    Minor building, plumbing and mechanical repairs and maintenance
    Operating and maintaining the Zamboni (operating, cleaning, greasing, changing the blades, etc.)
    Installation and maintenance of the ice at the Arenas (ex. painting lines)
    Turf Maintenance
    Maintain and clean the play and climb
    Maintain and clean the Art Gallery
    Monitor and maintain Jubilee Park (cut grass, change garbages, etc.)
    Maintain the water softening system for the building
    Maintenance of HVAC, AC, and furnace units
    Event setup  City Wide
    Operation of lawn mowers, City Vehicles, ride on floor scrubber, took kat, gator, Zambonie, scissor lift and snowblower.
    Liaise with the patrons about general Spark Centre inquiries.
    Follow the preventative maintenance schedule
    Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
    A demonstrated strength in interpersonal savvy and customer service;
    Must be knowledgeable with Provincial Occupational Health and Safety regulations, as they pertain to the operation of public buildings;
    Previous building, or arena experience would be an asset; and
    Possess a valid Class 5 drivers license.
