SHWC is seeking a qualified SHWC Attendant.
In keeping with established vision and values of SHWC, reporting to the Treatment Director, this position is responsible for the supervision and support of SHWC Clients. The SHWC Casual Attendant participates in client activities and out-of-business hours, assumes responsibility for the Centre. As the SHWC Casual Attendant, you will be expected to cover both day, evening, and night shifts and with short time call in notice with the focus being on shifts to cover scheduling gaps not covered by existing staff. You will not be placed on the schedule only as needed.
Skills
Capacity to establish professional relationships with residential clients and maintain clear boundaries.
Awareness and knowledge of the impact of the Residential School Experience.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in the human services field with adults.
Up-to date First Aid & CPR and ASIST.
Basic typing skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle
Clear criminal record check
Openness to personal growth and commitment to continuous professional learning.
You will depend on your excellent relationship building skills with clients, families, and colleagues. This position will report to the Treatment Director or designate.
