The Humboldt Co-op is recruiting for a Full-Time Senior Agronomist

Who you are:
You have a Grade 12 education.
You have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant agriculture experience.
You have a degree or diploma in Agriculture or Agribusiness
Professional certifications (CCA, P. Ag) or working towards is an asset
You have a valid Class 5 Drivers license
Strong agricultural background in sales, accounts management, and agronomy
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and the ability to manage computer files efficiently.
Effective interpersonal, leadership and communications skills.
Motivation and ability to work in a busy environment.
Effective planning, organization and time management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
You are honest and trustworthy, team-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.

What youll do:
Demonstrate day-to-day behaviors and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operatives vision, mission, values, and brand. Provide training, coaching and motivation to the Agro team.
Support the Agro Manager in preparing, administering, and achieving operating budgets and goals as it relates to the pricing, sales, margins, expenses, and inventory of the commodity for existing customers and expand sales to new customers. Offers complex and/or specialized operational and/or sales support services. Lead field tours, informational meetings, trials, communications plans, etc.
Provide technical expertise, direction and support to Ag & Energy business combinations, acquisitions and complex transactions.
Develop strong working relationships with internal and external professionals.
Participate in project planning and analysis.
Mitigate risk and liability by ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and adhere to all Humboldt Co-ops policies, procedures, and standards, including safety, environmental and asset protection/loss prevention.
Other duties as assigned.
