Description

Duties:
Make and maintain playing surface ice.
Operate and maintain ice re-surfacer.
Remove ice at season end.
Prepare facility for activities.
Complete cleaning duties.
Clear snow from exterior of main entry way and ramp, as well as from all emergency exits.
Maintain facility schedule and submit monthly facility usage report.
Take payment for public use.
Complete other reasonable duties that would be deemed part of the role.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:
Be available during hours of operation.
Be available to receive automated ice plant emergency notices 24 hours a day.
Obtain a Workplace Compensation Number through the Saskatchewan Workers Compensation Board prior to contract start date.
Hire and pay for own staff coverage.
Abide by and enforce policies of the Wakaw & District Jubilee Arena and Town of Wakaw bylaws.

Proposals shall include;
Expected compensation.
Available start date.
Additional qualifications (Ex: Arena Operator Level 1; Arena Operator Level 2 Certification) Operator certification is not required at time of proposal submission, though it will be deemed an asset.
