Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time (must be available for Overtime, Weekends, Day, Night, Evening)

Education: Completed at least some secondary school
Experience: 1 year or more flat deck experience will be an asset but not required.
Credentials: (Certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.), (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
Languages: Functional English is required
Type of Travel: Long-haul, Travel for extended periods.
Type of Equipment: Super B Flat, Triaxle Flat, and Reg Flat
Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Responsibilities:
1. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials (Class 1-ATrucks).
2. Loading and unloading of goods, tarping, and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
3. Plan travel schedules and routes.
4. Receive and relay information to the central dispatcher.
5. Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
6. Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness, Security, and Safety.
7. Excellent driving record is a must.
8. Routes will include all western Canada. Nights, weekends, and holidays will be required to make timely deliveries to our customers. We will compensate your holidays or breaks according to the dispatch schedule.
9. Record Cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
10. Perform Pre-Trip, en route, and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of the vehicle such as the condition of equipment and loading and unloading of cargo.
11. May perform emergency roadside repairs, if needed.
12. May need to drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
