Description

The Non- Certified Tradesperson is responsible for the installation, layout, preventative maintenance and on-going maintenance of machinery and equipment. Working as part of the maintenance team, the Non-Certified Tradesperson ensures all machinery is running safely and the plant is operating in compliance with applicable regulations. All maintenance work will be carried out efficiently while placing the highest priority on safety. The right candidate must be willing to learn, and work as part of a team or independently depending on the work required.
Diagnose, repair, or replace faulty packaging and meat processing equipment, including motors, and drives.
Determine and follow procedures for testing existing and newly installed machines and equipment to maximize output.
Troubleshoot to identify and repair equipment to limit downtime
Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and facility.
Assist with the setup and movement of equipment as required
Experience in plumbing, electrical, millwright.
Minimum 3 years maintenance/industrial equipment experience.
Equipment Operator Experience/ Certification (Forklift, Reach, Scissor Lift, skid steer)
Daily exposure to typical manufacturing areas will be required and will require the use of personal protective equipment such as steel-toed boots, safety glasses, high visibility vest and hearing protection where required.
