We are very excited to be growing our Sandbox Mutual Insurance family.  We have a permanent full-time remote position of Claims Adjuster based out of Calgary, AB and are on the search for our team member.

As Claims Adjuster, YOU Will Be Responsible For
Investigates claims, establishes adequate reserves, negotiates, and settles all claims in a satisfactory and equitable manner. Interprets and communicates the terms of the policy to insureds, claimants, and solicitors. Reports claims information to senior claims personnel and/or VP, Claims on claims in excess of prescribed authority limit.
Responsible for standard office duties and preparation and submission of reports (e.g., caption reports, detailed assessments).
Represents the company at local and industry functions and maintains satisfactory public relations with industry and community contacts.
Inspects risks for underwriting information and/or to ensure loss prevention, submitting recommendations where necessary.
Performs related duties as required.

What We Need From YOU!
A minimum five (5) years experience in the industry and active involvement in completion of CIP, demonstrated by completing two Institute courses per year.
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
Ability to note details, make accurate observations and sound decisions.
Strong interviewing and negotiating skills are essential.
