Description

The Director of Administration leads, oversees, and directs the staff responsible for the organization's administrative services. This role involves planning, organizing, directing, supervising, and evaluating the administrative department, ensuring efficient operation across HR, IT, finance, and other administrative services.  The position is a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Duties and responsibilities
Financial and Administrative Oversight:
* Administer and oversee all accounting, finance, and audit functions
through robust internal reporting and control mechanisms.
Establish and monitor departmental budgets.
Execute and enhance financial statement management and audit
processes.
* Oversee IT resources and systems, ensuring effective support and maintenance of technology infrastructure.
* Collaborate with IT staff to enhance digital operations and ensure the security of organizational data.
Operational Leadership:
* Ensure SFBLC has the integrated tools, systems, procedures, and data to achieve its vision and mission.
* Collaborate on the development and implementation of departmental goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for each assigned area.
* Draft and distribute statistical reports, analyses, and exhibits to organization stakeholders and regulatory/government agencies when required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Post-secondary degree in business administration or related field of study or equivalent knowledge and experience
* At least five years of experience in finance and administration including 3 years in a senior role
* Experience in the not-for-profit sector is preferred
* Knowledge of operations, services and activities of Administrative Services which includes the principles and practices of Finance, HR, and IT
Reports to Executive Director.
Hours: Monday to Friday, some evenings and weekend required.
Term: Permanent Full-time, Salaried Position
