Since it's original formation in 1971, Shkopich has been a leader in providing a full line of environmental services across Saskatchewan. Shkopich is now operating as PROTEX ENVIRONMENTAL and services commercial, industrial, and institutional organizations in solid waste disposal and recycling, industrial cleaning, vacuum truck services, used oil materials recovery and recycling, and other specialized services.

Position & Scope

The 1A truck driver position is primarily responsible for hauling activities within our company including local and inter-provincial routes, transporting various materials to different locations around Western Canada. Additionally, there may be training for (and operation of) various other waste and recycling collection equipment, container maintenance, equipment maintenance, buildings and facilities work, and other duties as assigned.

The 1A driver will require a high level of professionalism and customer service, which will be used to consistently build positive customer relationships and to promote Protex Environmental's service throughout Saskatchewan and neighboring provinces.

Key Accountabilities

Follow schedules and service orders in accordance with the Service Coordinator's instructions

Provide exceptional on-site service to vendors, customers and continuously promote Protex's service offerings

Complete service paperwork in accordance with Protex and TDG regulations

Safely operate all required transport equipment & ensure regular cleaning.

Participate in the Protex safety program

Requirements:

Class 1 Drivers License - a clean drivers abstract is required

Able to work independently

Customer service experience

TDG knowledge and experience

Self-motivated attitude

Experience working in a safety sensitive environment

Ability to work out of town and overnight trips, including multiple days in a row (all costs covered)
