The successful candidate shall be responsible for the general operations and maintenance of the village, including the village utility systems, waste disposal and pick up, recycling depot, and servicing of the village equipment.
The successful candidate will work 35 hours Monday to Friday, with weekend supervision of the Water Treatment Plant raising hours to 40 per week. For a comprehensive list of duties, email office at vill.vanguard@sasktel.net
Qualifications (required):
Minimum Grade 12, GED, or equivalent
Excellent supervision, organizational, written and oral communication, and public relations skills
Comfort with computers
Valid class 5 drivers license with a clean drivers abstract
Residing in, and eligible to work in, Canada
Able to commence work on or before October 1, 2024 (preferred)
Requirements:
Preference will be made for those candidates who possess the following requirements, but a suitable candidate who is willing to obtain them may also be considered.
Level II Water Treatment Certification (or willing to obtain)
Level I Water Distribution (or willing to obtain)
Level I Wastewater Treatment and Collection Certification (or willing to obtain)
Valid Class 5 drivers license
Power Mobile Equipment Certificate
Pesticide Applicator
Confined Space
WHMIS 2015 Course
First Aid and CPR
Transportation of Dangerous Goods License
Any additional Water Treatment training courses would be beneficial.
