whkhtowin PD School Facilitator (0.5 FTE)
Educators are invited to apply for the 0.5 FTE position of whkhtowin PD School Facilitator. This part time position reports to the principals of whkhtowin school and Mount Royal collegiate. The whkhtowin PD School Facilitator provides leadership in realizing the goals outlined in the Indigenous Teachers Education Program (ITEP) School Model, and the divisions First Nations, Inuit and Mtis Education Strategic Plan.
Candidates must have a valid Saskatchewan teaching certificate and must be a graduate of the Indigenous Teachers Education Program (ITEP). Successful classroom teaching experience is also required. A comprehensive understanding of First Nations, Inuit and Mtis content, perspectives and ways of knowing, with a strong understanding of the provincial curriculum. The successful candidate will also demonstrate commitment to creating a culturally responsive learning environment, ability to engage community and educational partners, excellent interpersonal skills, and experience with professional learning processes that improve student outcomes.
