Description

We are currently seeking a Production Manager to join our Team. The successful candidate is responsible for the daily operation and performance of the production departments in achieving productivity, quality, and safety goals. Responsible for managing and directing SeedMasters production activities, the Production Manager will coordinate the production equipment and all associated parts, ensuring plant machinery and staff are running efficiently and safely.

What will you be working on?

- Overall responsibility for the production of all SeedMaster products and associated parts
- Partners with the Production Planner to ensure production goals and schedules are met
- Conceptualizes and creates implementation plans for process improvement efforts that ultimately influence the goals of Manufacturing and Assembly
- Manages process control initiatives by ensuring manufacturing SOPs exist, and that they are appropriate for quality, costing, and safety
- Works with cross-functional teams (R&D, Marketing, Sales and Finance, Inventory) to achieve cross-functional goals
- Participates in developing required tasks to successfully integrate new products into manufacturing
- Partners with maintenance to develop preventative maintenance schedule to ensure facility and machine performance
- Manages salaried manufacturing leadership, including annual business plans by department
- Participates in budgeting process, capital planning, staffing and other elements to ensure financial and operational objectives are met
- Identifies opportunities and problem areas for targeted improvement by creating, reviewing, and monitoring data or reports that show performance to KPIs (specifically productivity, waste, quality and safety)
- Review new technology that may be used in the production process to improve efficiencies
- Works with the financial department to develop a budget
- Approves expenditures for supplies and materials
