Description

We are looking for a compassionate, caring, patient person, with an upbeat attitude and strong interpersonal skills. The Home Health Aide will apply knowledge-based practices independently while working in collaboration with the client(s) and other home care professionals to promote independent living of our clients. (This position is based out of the community of Hall Lake, successful candidate will travel from La Ronge to outlying community daily, Fleet vehicle will be provided, and hours of work will include travel time.)

Apply a knowledge-based Home Health Aide practice independently and in collaboration with the client and other health care professionals to promote independent living of clients;
Must be able to provide home management, personal care and respite assistance to clients;
Use skills and interventions to meet physical, social/cultural, emotional and spiritual needs of the client;
Other duties as assigned by supervisor/and or designate;

Qualifications:
Minimum grade 12 or equivalent; Home Health Aide or Continuing Care Aide certificate preferred;
Must be able to work independently and collaboratively with the home care team;
Must be self-directed and demonstrate organizational skills;
Previous home care or acute care experience is an asset;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;  
Must possess a valid Class 5 Drivers License;
First Aid/CPR Training certification is an asset and/or willing to learn;
Ability to speak/understand Cree is a definite asset;
Experience working with a First Nations community a definite asset;
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Screening and Drivers Abstract required upon hire;
Must be able to travel to outlying communities;
