Description

The successful candidate will provide support to Globe Theatre production team, including assisting in the carpentry, lighting, sound, props, and wardrobe department; they should be able to demonstrate basic skills in more than one of these departments.

The successful candidate should:
-Have a base knowledge of theatrical practices and the process of bringing a production to the stage.
-Have a base knowledge of the theatrical techniques employed in the carpentry, props, lighting, and/or sound departments.
-Be able to work under the department heads and technical director to achieve design goals
-Be able to assist with set installs, technical installs, and shopping as directed by the Technical Director.
-Be able to effectively communicate and correspond with department heads, designers, directors and stage managers.
-Have strong time management skills and be able to work towards a deadline.
-Have the ability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends and Stat holidays.
-Attend all staff and production meetings and be a member of the Health & Safety Committee if required.
-Adhere to all aspects of the Collective Agreement between Globe Theatre and I.A.T.S.E. Local 295.
-Possess a Class 5 Drivers License with a clean drivers abstract.

Compensation:
-This position falls under the Collective Agreement between Globe Theatre and IATSE 295. Wage structures, overtime rates, minimum work week hours, etc. are determined by the Collective Agreement.  The qualified candidate will be required to join IATSE 295
-Wage for the 2024/2025 Season: $19.19/hr based on 35 hours per week
