Foundations Learning & Skills Saskatchewan (formerly READ Saskatoon) is a charitable, non-profit literacy organization that offers free literacy and skills development to adults and children. Literacy remains as important today as it was in 1979, when Foundations was established. With 45 years of volunteer-driven, community-based experience, Foundations Learning understands that a person's earnings, health, work, and education opportunities are directly related to their literacy skills.
Working closely with the Program Manager and Senior Adult Literacy Coordinator, the Adult Learning Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and facilitation of Foundations Learnings adult skill-building workshops, including promoting programs across the province and facilitating workshops. They work closely with other Adult Literacy staff and attend community meetings and events to recruit participants and build partnerships with employers and the trades industry.
A strong candidate for this role will have an entrepreneurial spirit with a high degree of professionalism along with a passion for community work. You come from a background in education and are quick to establish relationships with participants and partners. You are successful because you are passionate about continuous learning, serving the community, and you believe that education equity is an achievable goal.
The wage range is $22-$27/hr. This position is a full-time contract position until June 30, 2025.
