Description

Position Summary:
Position consists of 1/2 time Home Visitation Assistant Supervisor and 1/2 time Community Outreach.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Home Visitation Assistant Supervisor will work in collaboration with the Home Visitation Supervisor to ensure the following:
-Regular clinical supervision of each Home Visitor and shadowing of their home visits, providing support/direction on individual cases
-Collaborate / coordinate with other professionals and agencies in delivery of services
-Support ongoing training needs in collaboration with the Home Visiting Director
-Recruitment and training of new home visitors
-Assist with the orientation of new staff members.
-Assist with the evaluation of Home Visitation Visitors as required.
-Establish and maintain positive public relations with families, service providers and the community.
-In Depth Assessment of referred clients
-Program advertising; develop promotional material
-Collaborate and help with maintaining social media
-Outreach/ Engagement of families
-Provide public presentations on pre-natal and early childhood

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-You will possess a degree in human services discipline
-Knowledge of in-home service methodologies and experience with home visiting programs
-Extensive knowledge and experience working with parents and families, ex: Child development and effective parenting
-Knowledge and experience in team work, interagency and interdisciplinary approaches
-Knowledge of community resources
-Strong organizational and administrative skills including an understanding of and ability to use various computer programs
-Effective verbal and written communication skills
-Demonstrated clinical supervisory skills
-Ability and experience in staff supervision
-Ability to travel and work flexible hours
