Overview
The Saskatchewan Research Councils (SRC) Rare Earth Element Division has a career opportunity for an Electrician to support the construction, commissioning and operations for SRCs Rare Earth Processing Facility. There are permanent and term positions available with the possibility of extension.
Accountabilities
Support the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment for the REE plant
Participate in calibrating and testing electrical systems and equipment
Read and interpret drawings, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of electrical equipment installations
Work with a multidisciplinary project team including engineers, technologists and tradespersons
Provide general support to commissioning, testing and ramp up of plant operations
Qualifications
Certified Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician
Five to Seven years industrial or commercial experience
Experience with power distribution (600Vmax), circuit and instrument wiring
Experience leading a team is an asset
Skills

Flexible to adjust to shifting priorities, competing project demands and deadlines, while using sound judgment, resourcefulness, initiative and innovation
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to work efficiently with project team and supervisors
The chosen candidate will be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.
