This position is working with the Radius Work Readiness Program helping job seekers in their connection to work. The right candidate will have:
- Post-secondary degree in human services (Social Work, Psychology, or Education)
- Strong digital mastery with Microsoft 0365 (especially WORD,EXCEL,POWERPOINT)
- Indigenous Education and Cultural Awareness an asset
- Experience with Newcomer Canadians and their connection to work in Saskatchewan
- Experience with facilitating career development activities one on one and within a group setting
- Strong mentorship skills
- Understanding of Motivational Interviewing techniques an asset
- Assist job seekers to enhance their employability skills for success in finding suitable employment
- Market the value of workers to employers
- Facilitate employability workshops and discussions from prepared and customized program materials; deliver personal assessment tools
-Experience meeting and providing instruction in person and online (Zoom/TEAMS) when needed.
- Help jobseekers connect with community resources; liaise with support agencies
- Work cooperatively in the Employment Program Team
- Evaluate progress using program assessment tools and measures to meet contract metrics and outcomes
- Collect program data and write evaluation reports to meet contract outcomes
This is a renewable annual contract position 37.5 hours/week has a duration of August 19, 2024 - June 30, 2025 . The hours of work will be Monday to Thursday 8:00AM to 5:00PM.
The successful candidate will provide an acceptable driver's abstract, criminal record check and vulnerable sector search.
