The Instructor, Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) reports directly to the Program Head and is located at the Saskatchewan Aviation Learning Centre in Saskatoon. The incumbent instructs SIIT students in the classroom, laboratory or shop environments and assists during consultation hours. As the educational leader in the classroom, instructors will be responsible for delivering SIIT programs and curricula with the purpose of promoting student success.. Required Qualifications and Experience: A valid Canadian Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's License; category E. Graduated from an approved Transport Canada-approved ATO avionic program. Adult Education Certification with prior teaching experience would be an asset. Understanding of Aviation avionic training program CAR 566. For success in this position, a genuine commitment to helping students learn and succeed is required. Knowledge of First Nations' culture and organizations is an asset. As this position is considered safety sensitive, the incumbent will be subject to testing as per SIIT's Alcohol and Substances policy.
