Are you looking for a career in housing?

The Living Skies Housing Authority provides support to the Saskatchewan Housing Authority Network and Saskatchewan Housing Corporation (SHC). The Housing Technical Services division (HTO) provides property, program, technical, and operational services and is currently recruiting a Manager, Inspections based in either Saskatoon or Regina to provide services related to new housing delivery, grant program delivery as well as technical and operational support for the provincial subsidized housing portfolio.

What you will do:
Plan, manage, and direct the work of housing inspectors in our Regina, Saskatoon and Prince Albert offices.
Liaise with the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation (SHC) to implement housing initiatives.
Provide technical and program expertise and support to a diversified group of industry stakeholders.
Develop technical procedures and standards and contribute to the development of new policy related to environmental and construction issues.
Conduct and coordinate inspection services on a variety of projects as required including issues management and risk management.

What we are looking for:
Knowledge in property management practices and principles as it relates to maintenance and modernization of facilities.
Knowledge in product standards, specifications, residential, and commercial building practices and principles.
Ability to work collaboratively in a unionized environment as well as ability to travel extensively.

What you will need:
Post secondary education in Architectural Technology or Engineering and five to ten years of project management and building construction experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
In depth knowledge of the National Building Code, Uniform Building & Accessibility Standards Act and applicable building codes.
