Description

The MLTC Technical Services Department is seeking highly motivated individuals to fill two (2) full-time, term positions of Housing Inspector  Youth Interns. The Housing Inspector  Youth Interns will work closely with the MLTC Housing Inspectors, Housing Circuit Rider Trainer, and with the First Nations Housing personnel in conducting various inspections on constructions and retrofit projects, and will receive hands-on experience in the Housing Department.

Duties:
    Attend training and seminars with respect to the Housing Inspector Program and pass the exams, and gain experience and relevant housing inspection skills.
    Administrative duties with respect to the First Nations Housing Registry program, i.e., data entry and software management.
    Creation and presentation of reports
    Help plan for events and meetings
    Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

Minimum:
    Grade 10
Preferred:
    Grade 12
Other:
    Proficiency in computers, (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    Willingness to travel and must possess a valid Class 5 Drivers License
    Able to work with minimal supervision and prioritizing multiple demands
    Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
    Ability to speak/understand Cree/Dene is considered a valuable asset.
