Description

Vale has a great opportunity available for an experienced Production Painter to be a part of our Night Shift production team (Mon  Thurs, 4:00PM to 2:30AM).  Vale Industries is a fast-paced, collaborative environment with lots of opportunity for personal and professional growth.  If you are motivated to make a real difference and the drive results, this position may be for you.

Duties and Responsibilities:    

-Perform all duties in the paint process such as surface preparation and spray-gun application of liquid coatings
-Reading job order sheets to understand the specific requirements of each job
-Make adjustments to equipment to ensure accurate mill thickness as shown on the shop drawings
-Proficient with applying paint products and operating paint equipment
-Paint beams, tubes, angle, channel, bar grating, pipe, plate, and large to small weldments according to the shop drawings
-Ensure all paint materials are being used in compliance with customer specifications and quality control program
-Understand specific requirements for paint application, storage, and disposal
-Proficient at testing and measuring applied paint products
-Assist in loading materials when necessary
-Maintain inventory of required paint supplies and consumables
-Operating a forklift, jib cranes, and overhead cranes in order to move materials
-Perform any other duties assigned by management
-Ensure quality standards and processes are used throughout the facility
-Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
