Description

The La Ronge Regional Housing Authority (LRRHA) is recruiting a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team immediately. We'd love to hear from you if you are motivated to thrive professionally while making a difference in the North!

About the Job:
Reporting to the Manager of LRRHA, this position contributes to the overall effectiveness of the Housing Authority by effectively communicating and collaborating with the Housing Authority team. The position is responsible to:
-manage the day-to-day operations of the maintenance programs
-provide leadership and supervision to maintenance workers
-tender, oversee contracted work to ensure work is completed to standard
-develop, deliver an effective preventative maintenance program

You will have:
-knowledge of basic techniques in a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, painting, flooring, and electrical
-experience in estimating, materials purchasing, accounting and budget preparation
-ability to promote positive working relationships with management, staff, and tenants
-experience leading a team, supervising, planning, and coordinating employees and work tasks
-Grade 12 education, basic computer skills:  Word, Outlook and Excel, some post-secondary in business or technical/trade training plus 5 years' experience in a maintenance and repair environment OR an equivalent combination
-ability to handle stress, while prioritizing workloads and respecting peoples diversity and individual differences and be self-motivated
-excellent communication and collaboration skills
-ability to organize and participate in an on-call program for emergencies for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage
-a valid driver's license, reliable, roadworthy vehicle, and an approved Enhanced (Vulnerable Sector) criminal record check are conditions of employment
-availability for air and overnight travel, as required
