Description

The HOMES Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) - Housing First Supervisor works under the direct supervision of the Director of Program Development and is responsible for the supervision of staff and the day-to-day operation of individual and group services for the HOMES PSH Caseload.  The HOMES PSH-Housing First Supervisor will take the lead in the planning, implementation and evaluation of HOMES - Housing First services in collaboration with HOMES Community Supervisor.

Qualifications:
    Educational requirements: post-secondary degree in the human services field (i.e. Social Work, Human Justice, Psychiatric Nursing,)
    A minimum of five years experience in working with individuals with complex needs
    Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills; proven ability to support/mentor staff
    Ability to role model pro-active, hands on, tolerant and compassionate approach with clients  
    Excellent writing, assessment, research skills, and strong computer literacy skills
    Knowledge and understanding of systems, supports, and available community resources for the successful delivery of services for persons who are homeless or at risk of homelessness
    Knowledge of Housing First, homelessness, and the factors associated with it
    Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills
    Strong clinical skills related to addictions, mental health and work with individuals with a disability
    Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
    Ability to work under pressure and to implement a successful stress management and self-care plan
    Must possess a valid Class 5 drivers license and have daily access to a reliable vehicle to transport clients and execute daily duties
