Description

The Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) is hiring an Instructor, Virtual Health Hub Assistant!

As the educational leader in the classroom, Instructors will be responsible for delivering SIIT programs and curricula with the purpose of promoting student success. The Instructor will interact with cutting edge, new technologies that support Virtual Health Care including telerobotic ultrasonography. The This position will teach foundation knowledge in Health Care Systems, Safe Environments, Health Office Procedures and Basic Anatomy to support daily tasks and functionality of Virtual Health Care. The Instructor will be responsible for delivering content in a variety of ways including hands on, online instruction and asynchronous components and will also play a crucial role in curriculum development and resource building capacities.

This position will require some evening instruction and flexible working hours.

Required Qualifications and Experience: Registered Nurse (RN) with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and is a member in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS). Minimum 5 years of full-time clinical practice experience in medical-surgical, pediatrics/labor and delivery, and/or long term care/residential settings is required. Experience with a learning management system, such as Brightspace is highly preferred. For success in this position a genuine commitment to help students learn and succeed is required. As this position is considered safety sensitive, the incumbent will be subject to testing as per SIIT's Alcohol and Substances policy.
