Temporary Full Time (100%) - 2 Positions Available

Start Date:    August 26, 2024
End Date:    June 26, 2025
Hours:        6 hours per day, M to F on student days
Rate of Pay:    As per SEIU-West Agreement

Required Skills/Training:    
Minimum Grade 12 education.
Post-secondary courses in programs such as Early Childhood Development, Educational Assistant, Personal Care Aide or similar related areas and/or related experience would be considered an asset.
Training in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and Physical Assault Response would be considered an asset.
Experience with, and ability to handle, high needs children with a variety of emotional needs would be considered an asset.
Experience with, and ability to handle, the needs of Pre-Kindergarten children would be considered an asset.
Based on the needs of individual students, ability to provide support with medical needs, assistance in occupational therapy, physical therapy, dressing, eating, toileting, transferring and transportation could be required.
First Aid/CPR would be considered an asset.
Possess a current and valid drivers license.
Training or experience in the French Immersion programming will be considered an asset.
  
Requirements:    
Familiarity and understanding of the practices of the Roman Catholic Faith would be considered an asset
Recent (within 6 months) Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check upon employment
