The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency is a provincial health-care organization dedicated to providing cancer care services to Saskatchewan residents. The Provincial Manager, Research Support is responsible and accountable for supervising the daily organization and administration of the Research Support Unit. Reporting to the Director, Research Development & Strategy, the Manager of Research Support is responsible for overseeing a team of research administration experts to facilitate research across the SCA.

The Manager will be responsible for the establishment and maintenance of provincial policies that support the responsible conduct of research across the entire research life cycle. The Manager will identify and manage the Agencys risk tolerance as it relates to research projects.

The Manager will oversee a team with expertise to support investigators in the design and start-up of projects as well as to support investigators in meeting expectations for delivering high quality research and complying with institutional policies and processes. The Manager will work with executive and senior leaders to implement the strategic vision for research across the SCA.

QUALIFICATIONS
Masters degree in a health-related field.
Certificate in Research Administration is an asset.
Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in research administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong knowledge of provincial and federal research funding agencies and programs, and their guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Experience in compliance and risk management connected to research projects, grants, and awards.

Position may be located in Regina or Saskatoon
