Pro Metal is 100% owned by Pasqua First Nation. Come join our team as we are evolving into a world-class manufacturer for the military, oil and gas, mining, and agriculture industries. Pro Metal offers drafting and design, plasma, waterjet, and laser cutting, CWB and AWS welding, forming, and powder coating. We are looking for a Roamer Arm Operator w/CAD experience that is interested in working on military and defense projects but will also aid the drafting and inspection departments as needed. Responsibilities: Product inspection using Hexagon Absolute Roamer Arm by 3D scanning, probing, and using other conventional measuring equipment. This includes the use of Model Base Definition techniques within PolyWorks to set up a provided CAD Model for scanning and probing.  Knowledge of how to fixture parts for accurate scanning and probing results. Provide reliable, accurate, and timely measurement reports. Measure samples and in-progress parts to provide accurate and timely feedback to relevant departments to ensure compliancy before moving to the next stage of manufacturing. Proactively communicate with all internal departments as required to resolve Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing challenges and suggest solutions when a part is non-compliant. Ability to identify improvements to the current inspection process and suggest and implement changes.  Excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and comfortable measuring high complexity parts. Ensure all inspection records are stored and retrievable for review when the need arises. Ensure all parts submitted for inspection get inspected and dispositioned in a timely manner.
Qualifications: 1+ years experience with 3D modeling and blueprint reading.  2 years experience operating a Hexagon Roamer Arm. Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing is required. Experience with SolidWorks Inspection, SolidWorks MBD, and/ or Polyworks is an asset.
