The City of Regina is seeking two (2) Technologist II positions for a one-year term, each offering unique and impactful roles within our organization.
Environmental Services (Spill Response & Emergency)
In this role your responsibilities will involve environmental sampling of groundwater, surface water, soil, stormwater, and sewage as well as assisting in responding to emergency spill response scenarios. You will work on the preparation of reports to regulatory bodies. You will perform complex and advanced technical work, including database management and environmental aspects of infrastructure planning. You will provide valuable advice and technical analysis related to the delivery of environmental programs, ensuring our initiatives meet the highest standards of compliance and sustainability.

Environmental Services (Landfill Tech)
We are seeking a skilled individual to undertake diverse technical duties in database management, construction, preservation, facility operation, and environmental services. Your expertise will guide best practices in infrastructure, sewer, water, and stormwater, covering design, planning, construction, maintenance, testing, and performance evaluation. This role collaborates closely with a Project Engineer for seamless project execution. Additionally, you will oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and repairs of the City's Landfill Gas to Energy Facility (LGTEF), flare system, leachate system, and other vital components, contributing to sustainable initiatives and landfill infrastructure upkeep.
