Description

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Janitor is responsible to keep all assigned mill site buildings in a clean and orderly condition.

Responsibilities:
Clean and disinfect all washrooms, lunchrooms and common areas
Performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk.
Keep buildings and facilities in a healthy, safe, sanitary and orderly condition.
Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, cleaning rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish and recyclables.
Maintain storage areas and cleaning equipment, materials and supplies in a safe and orderly manner, in order to ensure the safety of staff and public.

Qualifications:
Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products and equipment.
Ability to read and understand labels and instructions, particularly on the use and application of cleaning chemicals and products
Highly self-motivated and able to work independently
Knowledge of the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
Ability to deal with a diversity of people
Possess attention to detail
