The Saskatchewan Food Industry Development Centre Inc. (Food Centre) is seeking to hire a Food Process Engineer. This position will be responsible in providing engineering support for all of the Food Centre programs (extrusion, ingredients, product development, fermentation and bioengineering, etc.) and will help troubleshooting, and debottlenecking various processes in food production. The position will support managing process flows, engineering reports, project schedules, inspections, and project data/economic analysis. The position will work closely with the Advanced Food Ingredients Centre (AFIC-2) team to design and execute projects and will require excellent technical, program development, organizational, and communication skills. The position will assist the Food Centre with the new capital projects as engineering lead for cross-functional teams. The Food Process Engineer will be required to manage clients in the following key focus areas: process design and advanced manufacturing, data driven process analytics, techno-economic analysis, life cycle analysis and sustainability, and process authority services. As part of the job responsibilities, the candidate will help the Food Centre expand value-added processing both internally and in support of the growing food industry in Saskatchewan.

Qualifications and Skills for this Position:
-    B.Sc. in Food & Agricultural Engineering and/or closely related fields.
-    Graduate degree is preferred.
-    3+ years of work experience in the food industry will be an asset.
