Description

Summary
Accounting & Administration Coordinators have two main duties:

Billing Independent Living, Village Home Care, Personal Care Home, Childcare Centre, and Little Village Preschool residents monthly. When not billing, the role helps the accounting department optimize the Director of Finance and Accounting's effectiveness in accounts receivable and payable, end-of-month reconciliation, invoicing, computer data entry, and weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly business reports.
Assisting the Director of Finance & Accounting with filing, scheduling meetings, taking notes, and incorporating them into project plans and deliverables.

Accounting Responsibilities:
    Primarily responsible for completing monthly billing for Harbour Landing Village
    Including Independent Living, Assisted Services, Personal Care Home, Childcare Centre, and Little Village Preschool
    Meet and discuss with families if any billing issues arise.
    Calculate monthly resident on-account charges.
    Assist with the recording account receivable (A/R) transactions in the accounting system (Yardi).
    Assist with the recording account payable (A/P) transactions in the accounting system (Yardi):
    Process and manage the payment of all incoming invoices.
    accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
    Resolve invoice discrepancies.
    Maintain vendor files and update contact information as needed.
    Tack important due dates and timing for external items including licensing and internal deadlines such as statements and month-end reports.
    Help build and maintain accounting record filing system.
    Assist in preparing other statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
    Field inquiries from vendors and other entities such as Yardi.
    Help track information for accounts and staffs access to accounts.
Gain knowledge of the various accounting software programs available today, such as Charge Over, Silverware, Clover, and Yardi.
