Description

We are seeking a competent, confident, motivated individual with a Science background or a English Language Arts Accreditation to fill the position of a High School Teacher at Muscowpetung Education Center (MEC) on a term contract (with the potential of going on a full-time permanent contract) located at Muscowpetung First Nation, Saskatchewan. In this role, you will provide strong interpersonal skills, commitment to learning and teaching in project-based ways and provide an enthusiastic learning environment for students.

A working knowledge of Canadas Indigenous Peoples and to integrate the Saulteaux culture, values and history into the curriculum.
Have high standards and expectations for academic achievement, especially in the areas of literacy and numeracy.

Have excellent classroom management skills, and able to utilize and demonstrate positive classroom/behavior management strategies.
Accommodate and include special needs children by adjusting teaching styles and curriculum as required for inclusion.
