Job Purpose

Under direction of the Marketing and Communications Coordinator, the Digital Media Officer ensures that SODS maintains a strong and consistent presence online and on selected social media platforms. This position will provide daily graphics for the organizations online assets. The Digital Media Officer will be responsible for delivering compelling and original visual contents to publish on the organizations website and social media channels, which includes but not limited to, the production of photographic and video material.

Education and Experience

       A relevant degree or two-year diploma with an emphasis in graphic communications, graphic design, digital media, new technologies, or media art production and at least one year of work experience.

       Proven design skills and superior knowledge of Adobes Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)

       Working knowledge and experience of MS Office.

       Possesses the skills in creating contents for a range of social media platforms.

       Familiarity with content management systems and HTML coding.

       Knowledge, understanding of and interest in digital communications best practices.
