The Water Security Agency is seeking a Director, Program Advancement, to join the Agriculture Water Management Branch.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director leads a high performing team of professional and technical staff responsible for advancing the Agriculture Water Management Program and policies.
This involves collaboration across the Water Security Agency and Government of Saskatchewan and extensive engagement with clients and stakeholders to design and enhance the outcome-based regulatory program.
This role will facilitate the development of the strategic and operational direction for the Agriculture Water Management program and other programs as required to ensure alignment with government and organizational direction as well as provide leadership pertaining to the primary research, policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, internal and external quality assurances, implementation planning, communications, policy review and renewal.
This role will also provide oversight to the development of operational standards and guidelines for the drainage approvals and compliance teams and will provide support on key files with highly complex issues.
The candidate will have a degree in Agriculture, Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, Natural Resources Management, Regional Planning, Public Administration or related discipline and 10 or more years of progressively more responsible leadership experience.
