Description

Reporting to the Mine Technical Services Coordinator this is an exciting opportunity to be a part of an innovative leading edge dynamic mining process. If this sounds like a career path for you, please apply!

Responsibilities:
-Execute multidiscipline projects of small and medium scope
-Provide engineering expertise, and guidance to ensure compliance with industry codes, regulations, standards and good practices
-Collaborate with tradespeople and operators to help propel and implement standards and improvements to the mining process and infrastructure
-Conduct formal risk assessment of new and existing designs
-Work with other disciplines, subject matter experts and operational personnel to solve process problems and ensure quality objectives, schedules and budgets are maintained
-Recommend and implement department engineering processes and procedures
-Participate in the development of feasibility studies, value engineering and cost estimates to support continual improvement
-Understand and administer management of change (MOC) to facility changes

Skills and Qualifications:
-Degree in Mechanical, or Mine Engineering
-Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with APEGS or Eligible for membership with the Saskatchewan Applied Science Technologists and Technicians (SASTT)
-Technologists with applicable industrial design experience will be considered
-A minimum of 10 years of applicable work experience
-Experience with Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) is an asset
-Good understanding of process and slurry piping design as well as tank design

Work Location & Schedule:
-McClean Lake
-14 days in and 14 days out rotating schedule
-Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside or normal working hours may be required
