Description

Eagle's Nest Youth Ranch is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to working with vulnerable youth and residents.

The Cultural Coordinator is responsible for facilitating cultural programming to Eagles Nest programs. The Cultural Program Coordinator will be well-informed and up-to-date on issues affecting Indigenous peoples, and will play a key role in ensuring a variety of Indigenous teachings, spirituality, and other programs to support cultural identity are integral aspects of youth programming.

Responsibilities:
To coordinate the delivery of innovative programming solutions involving, but not limited to: group activities, workshops, seminars, traditional crafts, indigenous languages, ceremonies and teachings, land- based teachings, and summer culture camps
To ensure programming is safe, supportive, culturally-informed, and based on caring, respect, growth, and learning
To provide positive role modelling to youth, to conduct themselves as a caring adult authority figure, and to make decisions in the best interest of the youth
To resource Elders and traditional teachers, and supervise the facilitation of programming

Qualifications:  
The Cultural Program Coordinator will have a combination of education and experience in Human Services, knowledge about the various cultures, values, beliefs and traditions of Indigenous peoples and groups and previous experience developing programing.

Must have a valid Class 5 SK Driver's License and a clear criminal record.
