Description

MGBHLM Economic Development Corporation Ltd. is currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to join our team as Store Manager, under the supervision of the Director of Operations.  The Store Manager is responsible for the daily operations and profitability of the establishment according to set goals and business objectives. Daily operations include staff scheduling, supervision and management, customer satisfaction, product quality assurance, store maintenance, security and health and safety compliance.

DUTIES:
    Plan, direct and evaluate the operations of the convenience store/gas station.
    Ensure that security measures are in place and operational by setting appropriate alarms and running tests when required.
    Manage staff, assign duties, and develop the working schedule.
    Determine staffing requirements and hire or oversee hiring of staff.
    Make sure all customer complaints are addressed and handled professionally, leaving the customer with a positive resolution.
    Ensure that all health, safety, and security regulations are adhered to and required standards are met.
    Maintain adequate stock through efficient inventory management.
    Increase sales, expand markets, and promote business to meet the goals within provided guidelines.
    Make sound business decisions for buying large quantities with volume-based discounts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A high school diploma or G.E.D.
Demonstrated service orientation required
Minimum 4 years work experience in a supervisory role in the retail industry
Excellent time management and prioritizing skills required
Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff required
Skills to monitor and assess staff performance required
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Thorough understanding of applicable health and safety legislation
Possesses excellent and effective decision-making
Working knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, POS (Chase McKay System)
