Description

On behalf of a site owner in the mining sector, we are currently seeking candidates for the position of a Project Manager in the Lanigan area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for project support and coordination. Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Develop and execute Underground Capital Projects including scope, schedule, budget, and risk
- Manage projects within the site owners Project Management Framework
- Develop project scope
- Secure project materials and resources by utilizing the procurement process
- Perform field visits to coordinate material and labor resources and ensure work is safely progressing
- Monitor and forecast project budget and schedule
- Identify and manage risks
- Meet specific project KPIs
- Engage with relevant project stakeholders
- Perform Continuous Improvement of the Project Management Process
To be successful in this position, we are looking for a candidate that can offer:
- Post-secondary education in a relevant technical field
- A PMP or CAPM designation is not required but considered an asset
- Maintenance, project, and/or operational experience at an operating facility or a heavy industrial site is considered an asset
- Direct experience in underground potash is considered an asset
- Efficient use of Microsoft 365 Applications and a variety of software programs
- Demonstrated positive safety behavior and safety leadership
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to be flexible in managing changing priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to contribute effectively within a team
- Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision
Successful candidate will be required to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test as a condition of employment.
Hours of work will vary; however, will generally be 6 am to 4 pm  four consecutive days/week. Overtime may be required but is not the norm.
