Description

On behalf of a site owner in the mining sector, we are currently seeking candidates for the position of a Project Controller in the Lanigan area.
The Project Controller will undertake various aspects of project cost control processes including project setup activities, monthly project accruals, monitoring actual costs, forecasting spend to completion, and project reporting. The Project Controller will implement systems and reporting to support control and management of the project.
Duties of the Project Controller will include, but are not limited to:
- Working closely with project team, construction contractors and site personnel
- Operations cost tracking
- Facilitate and participate in meetings with Project and Portfolio Managers, Stakeholders, etc.
- Project cost control, analysis, and reporting
- Planning and interaction with project teams
- General support to Operations, Finance and Executive teams as required
Education/Qualifications:
- Certification or bachelors degree in finance, accounting or a related discipline
- 1 to 2 years relevant work experience
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
Assets:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, as well as an aptitude for learning other specialized software
- Experience in project cost control or accounting/finance functions
- Confident communicator at all levels
- Strong attention to detail
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently
- Strong work ethic
- Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Level-headed, with the ability to deal with challenging, high stress situations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Successful candidate will be required to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test as a condition of employment. Hours of work will vary; however, will generally be 6 am to 4 pm  four consecutive days/week.
