Bourgault Machines INC., a startup company located in St. Brieux, Saskatchewan, is looking for an experienced, versatile engineer to work with a consulting engineering firm to supervise the construction of a new 32,000 square foot manufacturing facility at St. Brieux. Once the building has been completed, the plan is to equip it with a state-of-the-art powder paint coating line and modern manufacturing equipment including plasma cutting equipment, laser cutting equipment, CNC press brakes, CNC lathes and milling machines, manual pulse welders, robotic welders, as well as the standard, conventional, steel fabrication equipment. The facility's design is well underway, and construction is expected to begin in spring 2025, with completion expected to occur in mid 2026.
After the new facility has been built, the work would include helping to select the right equipment for the factory, ensuring that the mechanical and electrical infrastructure required to support the equipment is installed and participate in ensuring that the equipment is properly installed and commissioned. This will be a step-by-step process, in that the approach will be to install and commission one piece of equipment before moving onto the next piece. Once the plant is fully equipped, until a plant expansion is planned, there would be opportunities to work in production engineering in continually improving and automating manufacturing processes that serve to increase production efficiencies or to work in product development, creating new innovative products, or to do some of both.
Proficiency with SolidWorks would be a major asset and a project management (PMP) accreditation, or the like would also be considered a significant asset.
