Description

The Town of Esterhazy is seeking a full-time permanent Operations II Worker.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work without direct supervision and within the approved policies, procedures and specifications which include best workplace practices and health and safety standards. The position will be required to operate specialized equipment, power tools, cleaning and safety equipment, lawn mowers, and other hand tools. Day to day operations of various facilities and green spaces which include the arena, aquatic center, community hall, parks, cemetery, and related equipment while completing maintenance of buildings and equipment.

Required qualifications include:
    Valid drivers license
    High school diploma
    Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
    Ability to lift, push and pull 50+ pounds.
    Bending, kneeling, stretching, and reaching
    Desire to provide solutions and work well with others.
Desirable qualifications would be an asset:
    Level 1 Arena operator Certificate and or Level ll Arena operator Certificate
    Pool Operators Course Certificate
    Pesticide Applicators License

The successful applicant should be prepared to provide a criminal record check and a drivers abstract. The hours of work may include evenings and weekends. The candidate should be mechanically inclined with the ability to demonstrate their experience in facility and equipment operations and maintenance.

This is a Union Position with wages in Accordance with CUPE Local 5428 Collective Agreement.
