Description

Primary Duties- Nekaneet First Nation Day Care/HeadStart Program is seeking motivated, compassionate Early Childhood Educators for Casual Positions that could lead to Full-Time. The successful applicants would ensure the children are safe and well cared for, you will assist children through daily routines and offer an exciting experience for the children to participate in. You will provide a holistic approach, provide a safe and healthy environment and to ensure programs are age appropriate. and upholding the vision and direction of Nekaneet First Nations cultural activities. Children age range will be 18 months to 12 years of age.
Qualifications: Without Limitation
1.    Level 1 or 2 in Early Childhood Education  
2.    Valid First Aid/CPR certification
3.    Cleared Criminal record Check (CPIC) and Vulnerable Sector
        check
4.    Able to provide an enriched experience for children by
        planning a developmentally appropriate program based on
        children's observations
5.    Strong organizational skills
6.    Ability to work independently or in a team situation
7.    Warm and empathetic attitude towards children and families
8.    Actively encourages and engages in meaningful interactions
        with children
9.    Conducts self professionally as an individual, within a team
        and with families
10.    Has knowledge and able to teach appreciate the Indigenous
        Language/Culture
11.    Follow all FHQTC daycare/headstart guidelines
12.    Be available on short notice
13.    Hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am  5:00 pm
